About two and a half years ago, I was sitting with a friend at a café in Delhi, casually discussing different forms of art and craftsmanship. Somewhere in that conversation, the idea came to me: why not build something of my own around an art form that I genuinely felt connected to?
That art was macrame. At that time, I knew very little about macrame. But there was something about it that immediately drew me in — the simplicity of a cord, the discipline of knotting, and the way something so basic could slowly become something beautiful.
Macrame gave me a sense of peace whenever I saw it. Perhaps because it asks you to slow down. Every knot needs patience. Every cord needs to be held, measured and cut with care.
The smallest difference in proportion or tension can change the final design. There is no rushing the process. You have to stay with it. And I think that is what stayed with me.
The Craft

In a world where almost everything is becoming faster, handmade craftsmanship felt like the opposite of that life. It brought me back to something more grounded — time, patience, touch and attention.
Learning The Craft
I wanted to understand that craft properly, so I started learning. I travelled to different thread factories, met macrame artists and spent time understanding how the work was actually done.
I was not looking only for someone who could make a product. I was looking for people who could think with me, experiment, solve problems and bring an idea to life through their hands.
The Soul Of Handmade
That journey changed the way I looked at handmade products. I began to see that a handmade piece is not simply an object.
It carries the time, skill, patience, creativity and personality of the person who made it.
Even the small imperfections can become part of its character.

Luxe
“Tatsavya” was chosen to create an identity that felt distinctive, rooted and uniquely ours.
“Luxe” represents our understanding of luxury — not luxury through excess, but luxury through craftsmanship, authenticity, thoughtful design and the time taken to create something special.
What We Are
Building
Tatsavya Luxe is not about making macrame simply because macrame is beautiful or popular.
We want to give handmade craftsmanship a more thoughtful place in contemporary living.
That means caring about the details — proportion, texture, materials, colour, finishing and how a piece actually lives within a space — while still respecting the fact that it was made by human hands.
Our artisans are independent. We collaborate with them for our work, but they are not bound exclusively to Tatsavya Luxe.

Macrame is where Tatsavya Luxe starts, but we want to grow beyond it. We want to build a brand that brings traditional craftsmanship into modern homes, while continuing to work with skilled artisans and create thoughtful designs.
Over time, we hope to take our work beyond India and make Tatsavya Luxe known for beautiful products with a real human story behind them.
Because true luxury is not about having more.
It is about having something meaningful.
